CAD Manager component works natively inside AutoCAD using a simple set of easily learned functions. Benefit: Enables a shortened learning curve; start up can happen in days, not weeks.
Coupling the power of AutoCAD with Microsoft SQL Server allows faciliCAD to easily link graphical objects with database records and transform typical CAD drawings into intelligent resources. A single faciliCAD pull-down is added to the AutoCAD menu and arranged logically to guide the user through the process of entering data. All forms allow for the same database edits available in the Data Manager. This is not true of all CAFM solutions. In many cases, the end user is forced to go back and forth between applications. As in the Data Manager, the user is able to create and edit background data from the AutoCAD application. They can add and edit Spaces, People and Assets as well. The faciliCAD CAD Manager is linked directly to the database, and as a result, the end user can update the database from the CAD drawing or the CAD drawing from the database. The CAD Manager not only allows the display of the same database reports as the Data Manager, but also enables the end-user to create graphic reports and run queries.
Data Manager component works outside of AutoCAD and allows non-CAD users to update non-graphical database information. Benefit: Facilitates updates to data without AutoCAD software.
The faciliCAD Data Manager is a data driven forms-based interface with dialog boxes arranged logically to guide the end user through the process of data entry and management. Data Manager does not use AutoCAD, so no knowledge of AutoCAD is required by the user and no AutoCAD license is tied up.
The Data Manager can be used to create background data such as Spatial Locations, Organizational Hierarchies, Room Types and more. It is also used to add and edit Spaces, Employees and Assets.
The Data Manager allows the user to generate and display standard reports as well as customized reports (if applicable).
Report Viewer provides access to over 150 reports through CAD Manager, Data Manager or a stand-alone viewer.
Benefit: Tabular reports may be accessed through faciliCAD or the standalone Report Viewer.
The faciliCAD report Viewer is present in all faciliCAD applications and may be installed as a standalone product for those that do not have a faciliCAD license and want to generate live reports.
The faciliCAD Report Viewer currently has over 150 stock reports that are completely customizable using Crystal Reports. New reports may be added simply by placing them in the report directory. The interface for the Report Viewer is exactly the same as in the Data and CAD Manager applications.
All reports display live/dynamic data so they are always up-to-date and can be generated in seconds. Reports can be output to PDF files as well as Excel, Word, CSV or almost any data format that is installed on the local PC.
WEB MANAGER component is a browser-based graphic and report viewer that can display predefined or custom reports. Benefit: Quickly and easily access strategic facility information while securing your data.
The faciliCAD Web Manager is a separate web-based application that can be installed either as an internet or intranet application. This makes it possible to access the faciliCAD data from any web browser. It is installed as an unlimited-user application with controlled log-ins. There is virtually no learning curve which makes it easy to implement in any organization in a short period of time. It contains both data and graphic interfaces. faciliCAD Web Manager is an unlimited-user browser-based application and may be shared with as many people within the organization as desired. There are no user-licenses to track and it may be viewed on smart phones, tablets, iPads and net books, as well as, PCs.
The faciliCAD Web Manager combines tabular information from the faciliCAD database with graphic information from the faciliCAD AutoCAD drawings. If a value is changed in the CAD manager or the Data Manager, this updated information is instantly displayed in the Web Manager. It is the perfect tool for data extraction and reporting in both hard copy output and electronic file output or to display live data during a meeting or an end-user search.
